Park City Location

This year ELITEAM has partnered with both the National Ability Center (NAC) and the U.S. Ski Team to bring the Girls Power Camp to Park City. The camp will base out of the NAC each day and the girls will have the opportunity to train each afternoon in the USST's Center of Excellence (COE) facility. ELITEAM will also use the many recreational fields and trails in and around Park City.

Waitsfield VT Location

ELITEAM's roots run deep in Vermont. The camps began there in 1991 with a tiny group of enthusiastic campers, and have been growing ever since. ELITEAM's Vermont camps are held at one of the East's premier ski academies, the Green Mountain Valley School. All campers and staff stay in the dorms. ELITEAM utilizes the academy's Race Performance Center, soccer fields, and ropes courses, along with the Mad River Valley's extensive trails, fields and mountains for training and activities.

All Vermont sessions are overnight camps, which allows the athletes to become fully immersed into the ELITEAM world for several intense days of work and fun!

Staff

Doug Lewis, a two-time U.S. Olympian and World Championship Medalist, is the co-creator of ELITEAM camps. Doug has been extensively involved in World Class athletics as a ski racer, coach, broadcaster, motivational speaker and spokesperson for over 30 years. Since retiring from the U.S. Ski Team, Doug has dedicated himself to passing on his winning knowledge of sports and competition to young athletes.

Kelley Lewis, ELITEAM's Director, is a former World Class ski racer and the force that keeps ELITEAM organized and moving forward. She structures ELITEAM with the goal of providing an environment that both educates and inspires. She also heads up the Girls Power Camp program.

Kelley and Doug consider the coaching staff to be a critical part of ELITEAM’s success. The staff is hand-picked for their experience, education, and positive energy. Over 90% have been ELITEAM campers themselves. Every coach has a passion for athletics and a desire to help each athlete achieve their best. Every staff member believes in the ELITEAM philosophy of the "complete athlete", and is Red Cross First Aid & CPR certified. In addition to the coaches, ELITEAM brings back exceptional campers from years past to work as counselors. They help motivate and inspire the young athletes, and provide a high standard and positive example for all campers.

Who Attends

ELITEAM is for high-energy kids who love outdoor activities and have goals of pursuing a specific sport. Many of the campers who attend are young ski racers, but competitive swimmers, golfers, hockey/soccer/lacrosse players and other athletes also attend. Any young athlete is welcome and will benefit from the program. ELITEAM is ideal for kids who are active, outdoorsy and enjoy a challenge!

ELITEAM's Overnight Camps

ELITEAM’s program is quite strenuous. As such, it is important that your child arrive healthy and well rested. Additionally, we do not recommend ELITEAM as your child’s first overnight camp. The physically demanding nature of the camps, combined with the mental stress of being away from home for the first time can often be too much. Please consider this carefully. It is important to us that your child have a positive experience at ELITEAM.

Respect and Responsibility

Respect and responsibility are just as important as any physical activity that we do. Incidents of disrespect towards another camper, the staff, or the campus/facility will not be tolerated. ELITEAM enforces a totally smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free environment.

Communication Policy

Overnight Camps- Cell phones are not permitted at camp. In addition, ELITEAM does not allow campers to make or receive phone calls during the week. However, parents are welcome to call Kelley Lewis, Doug Lewis or your child's dorm parent at any time for an update. Many parents also enjoy following us on the web with our daily blog and photo gallery updates.

Day Camps/Clinics- Cell phones should be handed into the Head Coach each morning for safekeeping during the day. Phones will be returned at the end of each day.

Electronics

Electronics such as computers, iTouch/iPods, stereos, etc are not permitted at camp. The goal is to have the kids "unplug" for a few days and become fully focused and immersed in ELITEAM's training and fun.
